Magoichi is a Pandaren that enjoys life and the company of people, for he is one to never shy away to welcome others for a delightful conversation and topics that involve day-to-day life whilst enjoying a nice brew! A pleasant Pandaren that thrives with people and children of all ages that slowly forms into a strong, family bond.
(He is essentially your lovable fat Uncle.)
He is a person that shows respect to others, speaks calmly and tries to resolve a conflict without the use of force. Though of course, he is not one to be completely left without a spine, and is certainly not blind to know when to fight should no other alternative action's be met, he will not hesitate to defend himself or those who cannot protect themselves.
Character Personality: Easygoing, Adventurous, generous, advising, kind, humorous, comforting, open-minded, brave, and courageous, these are the traits that define Magoichi Ironclaw; a proud Pandaren of the Wandering Isle. Like many who were born and raised on the back of the Turtle Shen-zin Su, who are descendants of the great Liu Lang, they inherited the passion and desire to explore the world of Azeroth, to learn and see the wonders that the globe had in store for them.
A good-natured Pandaren, Magoichi lives with an optimistic demeanour, finding joy in life regardless of the simplicities or how grand it is, and like all of his species, the Ironclaw is no exception to living the creed of the pandaren way of life; living in the moment, embracing life with all claws, and enjoying every meal and taking time with every family member as if it was his last.
Though he enjoys a life of peace and seeking inner peace through philosophy and examining the world around him, he is not blind to know of the dangers that surround him. In extreme circumstances, Magoichi can adopt a much more serious and determined disposition.

Backstory: “The person who can freely acknowledge that life is full of difficulties can be free, because they are acknowledging the nature of life – that it can’t be much else.” ~ Magoichi
Magoichi is the eldest son of Himiko and Xing Ironclaw, and older brother to Cao Ironclaw. The Wandering Isle was good to the Ironclaw family, as the boys were ensured to have a good upbringing with bountiful food and water provided. Magoichi and Cao's childhood was based on friendly competition, from assisting their father's farm, to making sure they completed a certain number of tasks around the house to please their mother.
Through their friendly rivalry, the two brothers began to understand one another, the two taking turns to guide one another and improving their skills to better help the household and family, their actions and behaviour taking noticed by their parents that they saw with a smile on their face. Everything between the two Pandaren boys came to a head when they were inducted into Shang Xi's Academy on the Wandering Isle.
Magoichi's time in the Academy was a pleasant yet difficult memory, for not only was it the days where he learnt the sacred art of Chi and being a Monk, but also where his relationship with his brother soured. Whilst Mago and Cao trained diligently in body, mind and spirit, the two were pushing their young bodies to hard lengths in order to better themselves, something that caused their teacher; Master Xhou Earthkeg to intervene.
Whilst Magoichi and Cao's master priased the boy's for training so hard to become Monks of the Wandering Isle, he warned the two, that if they were to continue down the path of such prideful competition, they'd be consumed by their pride and may even harm one another in order to prove a pointless fact. The warning shock the boys to their core, the two wanting to know how they could avoid such a fate.
This saw the Master and two boys travel to the Temple of Five Dawns, where the history and scrolls that contained the ancient Wisdom of Pandria along with the stories before and after the sundering. It is there, Master Xhou allowed the boys to take the opportunity to learn from history. Reading the scrolls, Magoichi and Cao learnt how the once prideful Mogu; the former masters of the Pandaren people who were busy fighting amongst themselves and erecting statues of themselves were brought low by the Pandaren people. The two brother took the moment to look at each other and pondered what could happen if their very notion of, what started out as a friendly competition from when they were little, continued to grow out of hand... Realising that this simply could not stand, the two made a vow that once their training in the Academy was over and were of age to make their own choice, the two were to go their separate ways and leave the Isle to begin a "Spiritual Journey."
Years past, and both Magoichi and Cao Ironclaw became respectable Monks of the Academy, and felt that the time had come for the two to leave. Before they left to depart, the brothers were given a gift; two turtles which were the offspring of the Great Turtle. Magoichi felt joy and love the moment he first met his newfound pet and proudly bestowed the name 'Ling-wei Si' upon the turtle. This was to be the last time the two brothers saw each other again, for Cao took the journey to Kalimdor, whilst Magoichi travelled towards the Eastern Kingdoms.
His journey into the Eastern kingdom began in Booty Bay, where he came across the pirates, mercenaries and other foul scum that lurked the wooden planks. On his turtle's back, the Pandaren began his great discovery and learning of the world around him, taking notes and learning the language of the common tongue as he travelled from inn to inn, from booty bay to Duskwood, Westfall, and then to Stormwind itself; the Heart of the Alliance. Never before had Magoichi anticipated at the sheer size and different races from across Azeroth gathering together at the central home of the Humans, and it was from here he began to talk to the more civilised people of society - but as he spent more and more time with the people, he began to adapt and felt more at home within Stormwind.
His ears were wide open, listening to the stories and travels of brave heroes traveling across the land, fighting evil monsters, slaying ancient enemies, doing combat against the forces of the Horde, and especially fighting... Murlocs? The stories do tend to get overly exaggerated...
However, there was one rumour that his ears did listen carefully, for there was a story of a land that was called the "Home of Dragons", otherwise called; Mithres Alymna. It is said to be close to be close to the Broken Isle and Northrend and was the place where dragons were allowed to be in peace and multiply. Though the people merely shrugged at the idea of such a place even existing, even with the ongoing threat of the Horde, the Legion and other foul forces that lurked throughout Azeroth. But it was Magoichi, with a mind clear and filled with curiosity who wanted to know more about these dragons, what they are like, and, with a chance, may very well befriend such noble creatures of legend.
After purchasing several maps scrolls that detailed the seas of Northrend and the Broken Isle, Magoichi and his turtle pet set sailed across the seas in the hope to find Mithres Alymna, to know more about the dragons, and perhaps, come to befriend and be at their service.
(IC) How much does your mortal know about dragons?: He has heard the tales, songs, and legends of the Dragons during his time in Stormwind, along with the occasion eye witness stories of how the noble dragons assisted the Mortal race against the dreaded Deathwing. Magoichi still remains very much in the dark about the dragons, which only reinforces his resolve and the need to understand such sentient creatures.
(OOC) How much does you know about dragon lore?: I understand the origins of the dragons, how they began as Proto-dragons who were evolved into the very beings of today through the power of the Titans and it was also they who created the very Aspects of each Dragonflight. From Alexstraza, Norzdomu, Kalecgos, Ysera (RIP), etc.
I also know that they have had a role in almost every event throughout the history of Azeroth; the War of the Ancients, Sundering, War of the Shifting Sands, Battle of Grim Batol, The Winterskorn War. Not to mention how they are able to shapeshift from mortal form to dsragon form at will, let alone how they had lost their powers during the Age of Mortals and having to struggle to survive.
It's quite sad actually, much like the fall of Rome. Slow, but overtime.
(IC) Reason to join To understand, observe, and become a better Pandaren. The stories and tales he had heard during his travels, had granted him clarity to see what it must mean to further learn about the world of Azeroth and the creatures that dwell within. But more importantly, what else but to enjoy the company of dragons and forge and family bond with such noble creatures.
(OOC) Reason to join I've always been interested in joining a Dragon Guild for World of Warcraft and teaming up with the very dragons from each Dragonflight. It is always exciting and fascinating to see what people can come up with to roleplay with such characters that add even more lore and tales to the story, especially World of Warcraft of all things!
